This is my first submission here at CGTalk! It is based off of a sketch by DELYA, which you can find HERE!
I made this image because I didn't know how to express my love for someone, so I figured, why not vomit hearts all over her? Plus I needed a new wallpaper.
Made in Maya 6.5, rendered in Mental Ray 3.4. The puke mesh was done in RealFlow and totalled out at almost 2 million polygons. Click Here for a wireframe shot of the puke. It was all lit with final gathering and 3 very bright large Stretched Cubes. The shaders on the characters blur the reflection towards the edges, and also reflect more towards the edges. The shader on the vomit is the l_Glass.
