I've been entirely self taught. My primary focus is rendering, I know every in and out of Maya and Mental Ray. However I also do every type of modeling(character, environment, etc) and other technical work such as dynamics and workflow.
I lived in San Diego, California up until this year when I moved to Santa Monica in Los Angeles. I now currently work with Kenny Roy at Arconyx here in Santa Monica as the guy who does everything, from modeling to rendering. I am lead artist for our current TV projects. I also set up and design the pipeline and workflow for the entire studio.
